Pro-Xylane is a cosmetic ingredient developed by the L'Oreal Group in France. This active ingredient is hydroxypropyl tetrahydropyranotriol, a xylose derivative of xylosides with anti-aging effects. It can activate the synthesis of mucopolysaccharides,promote the generation of hyaluronic acid and collagen, improve the adhesion between the dermis and epidermis, promote the regeneration of damaged tissues, help maintain the elasticity of the dermis, prevent skin aging, effectively lock in moisture, and have good moisturizing and anti-aging effects.

The efficacy and performance of Pro-Xylane

As the components of proteoglycans, glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) are linear polysaccharides consisting of hexose and uronic acid units. GAGs mainly distribute in extracellular matrix and on cell surfaces, make the skin firm, plump and delicate. They are synthesized as the side chains of proteoglycans (PGs) and form complex structures due to various modifications. They guide many biological processes, such as proliferation of cells, transmission of signals and mediation of inflammation. So it is of great significance for the repair and regeneration of the skin.
Pro-Xylane can provide binding sites for soluble GAGs, initiate the generation of GAGs without relying on endogenous core proteins, repair GAGs, and thus achieve the function of repairing extracellular matrix.
